| How much does it cost to be a member of AFL? |
|
Regular membership is free. And no one can apply for it. Regular members are nominated and selected based on the criteria described in the Selection Process tab (check the drop down menu under “About Us” on this website). They have been nominated by other members, or by the Executive and Advisory Boards.
We have over 2400 regular members and cannot display their biographical data here. Some are judges and other public officials and do not want their contact data displayed. Approximately ten percent of our regular membership elect to become Sustaining Members. They pay a modest fee ($315 per year for 2012) to offset technology costs, help advance our operational and philanthropic missions, and receive a comprehensive biographical description on this website.
Sustaining Law Firms likewise pay a modest fee ($350 per year for 2012) for biographical and practice information. We also privide digital badges for use on websites and other digital communication systems. They also help us advance our operational and philanthropic missions. Only firms with one or more Sustaining Members can be listed on this site. |
